LAS VEGAS (August 27, 2019) – Pulling out all the stops for its last summer edition at the Rio Convention Center before the big move to Caesars Forum in August 2020, the biannual Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN) Show zeroed in on convenience, hospitality and new ways to connect buyers and sellers to ensure an optimum show experience for all during the August 12-15, 2019 edition. Features like the new MATCH! And Buyers Concierge Club appointment-setting platforms, Live Mannequin Days, new navigation tools, free breakfast, lunch, VIP lounges, expanded show hours and afternoon wine receptions all generated a positive buzz on the show floor and set the stage for even more to come in 2020.

The WWIN show will return to the Rio for its February 3-6, 2020 event, relocating to Caesars Forum for the August 17-20, 2020 edition and beyond.

“One of the aspects that we’ve always placed emphasis on for our customers has been the ease of navigation around the show floor,” said Desiree Hanson, vice president of fashion events, Clarion Events. “For August, we wanted to make it easier than it’s ever been for retailers to find new and returning vendors, seminar spaces and complimentary food seating. With the addition of our new hand-held show map, mobile app updates and printed directory, we are doing just that. WWIN customers can always count on us to put their time in Las Vegas, first, at this facility and through our future move as well.”
“It’s nice to come to a show that has been updated but that’s not completely turned over like some of the other shows during market week. We know where our vendors are and we appreciate that” says Denise Baker, Vintage Vogue, Bishop, CA.

One of the show’s newest initiative, the VIP buyer appointment-setting program, MATCH!, continues to receive favorable feedback as a time-saving way to discover new business partnerships. The August MATCH! Program generated 200 total meetings between qualified buyers and vendors. MATCH provided participants with pre-scheduled, guaranteed meeting opportunities with NEW customers, based on mutual categorical interests – further allowing both parties the chance to meet with customers that they may not have met on their own time here at WWIN.
“We’ve been attending the WWIN Show for years but this was the first time we thought about stepping out of our comfort zone by participating in MATCH!,” says Faye Doppelheuer, president, Babe’s, Lakeland, FL. “The MATCH! program makes it a point to help you visit new vendors and it even gave us a more personal experience with those vendors because of the quality time that they set aside for us. The program didn’t waste our time because we knew that we were ‘MATCHed’ for a reason. It was nice to feel appreciated and for that, we wrote orders.”

To sum up the matchmaking experience, says Diane Cusciano, Diane's Boutique, New Castle, PA, “The meeting schedule helps get you to the vendor’s booth to see what they’re showing and then you can take it from there. We were able to see many new lines that we would never have seen if we were shopping the show on our own!”
From new vendors to new resources, the August 2019 edition was filled with fresh, new features that excited buyers and exhibitors alike. From the show’s newest designer stage, FRESH @ WWIN, to the 30+ new vendors the WWIN Show welcomed, August 2019 was new resource galore.
Jody Ondrus of Blossoms N Bows N More, Sagamore Hills, OH sums it up when she says, “I find new resources at WWIN and that is why almost everything that we have in our shop comes from this show.”

“Being our first time at WWIN, we appreciated that the WWIN Show featured women-owned, American-Made and minority-owned brands. Our customers really respond to that,” said attendees Jillian and Nicholas Perry, owners, Emporium 32, Salem, MA.
New resources joined the multitude of show floor features, including complimentary meals, show specials, grand prize drawings, Amazon Elite’s tray-passed “Wine Time” and Monday Night Wine Down, where one lucky winning retailer was given the chance to  meet fashion influencer Jasmin Rodriguez, who worked with the show management team  on the new  #WWINdowshopper Instagram Competition.
“WWIN provides an easy shopping environment for our customers because they know they will be taken care of once they get here. This show is a wonderful place to showcase our product,” says exhibitor Cheryl Graham, FDJ French Dressing Jeans.

For a little WWINspiration, retailers were invited to explore a full WWIN education schedule. From trade secrets to tips for improving digital strategy, all of their bases were covered by joining top industry experts Ilse Metchek, California Fashion Association; The Boutique Hub Team; Penny Bolton, Penny's Closet & Rita Mitchell, Waldoff Group; Mercedes Gonzalez, Global Purchasing Group and Nicole Giordano, StartUp Fashion.
All the new features and new resources drew in new buyers as well, with close to 400 first-time attendees checking in during the August 2019 show, and with new business came new orders written.
“Each time I come to WWIN, I find and pick up a couple new and fantastic lines. This year, one line included new exhibitor Alberto Makali. At WWIN, you do not take notes, you write orders,” says Victoria Ferro, Audrey’s Boutique, Spokane, WA.
Exhibitor Mark Azeff, Carre Noir says, “Our sales are up over 20% from the last show.”
Delivering to retailers the experience that they deserve is the goal at WWIN. Each new program that is launched and feature that is added is laying the groundwork for an exciting August 17-20, 2020 move to Caesar’s Forum Conference Center. For the first edition in the new space, retailers can expect to find an easily navigable show floor, an expanded workshop schedule, a continued consistency of accommodation, even easier transportation to/from the show and many new resources. Also to debut next August at Caesar’s Forum, ADORN, a brand new show that will feature a versatile selection of fashion accessories and jewelry.
The next edition of WWIN is scheduled for February 3-6, 2020 at the Rio Convention Center. For more information visit
