The February 2019 WWIN Show in Las Vegas had a WWINing season with the success of their two, new appointment-setting programs. The Buyers Concierge Club, which was open to all buyers and exhibitors, gave participants access to an online tool to connect and pre-schedule meetings. The new MATCH! program offered a more customized meeting opportunity for exhibitors and hand-selected buyers. The appointments were carefully created by WWIN’s Key Account Manager, Susan Milano. The meetings were pre-arranged based on mutual interests and price-points, which lead to a more personal buying experience. The MATCH! program fostered new connections and increased exhibitor ROI. Overall, it was a great experience for buyers and exhibitors.
Another WWINing move for the show was the launch of Live Mannequin Monday. Where buyers were previously greeted at the entrance by mannequin displays, they were now met with fabulous designs, off the mannequin and in motion on live models. This was the perfect opportunity for buyers to see exhibitor’s new designs and visualize how these pieces would fit. Exhibitors boasted an increase in orders as a result of Live Mannequin Monday.
The WWIN Show also stepped up its hospitality game by adding “Wine Time” to each afternoon of the show. Wine Time offered an afternoon pick-me-up for buyers and consisted of complimentary, tray-passed wine. Buyers were able to sip, shop and place orders in a relaxed, lively atmosphere. Wine Time was the perfect addition to the complimentary breakfast and lunch that the WWIN Show already offers to guests every year.
The WWIN Show brought back other crowd favorites too, including “Terrific Tuesday” show specials and “Stay for the Last Day” giveaways. Retailers also had the chance to pick-up new ideas and business-building tips from members of the Boutique Hub team; Rita Mitchell-Waldoff, the Waldoff Group; Penny Bolton, Penny’s Closet; Mercedes Gonzalez, Global Purchasing Companies; Linda Arroz, noted lifestyle writer/speaker and Destiny Allison, founder of Boutique Hack.
Excitingly, the biggest move for the WWIN Show is an actual move. WWIN announced during an after-hours cocktail reception that the show will move to the new Caesars FORUM Conference Center in Las Vegas, starting with the August 17-20, 2020 edition. For the past 21 years, the WWIN Show has been held at the Rio Convention Center. The move to Las Vegas’ newest state-of-the-art venue represents the next step in WWIN’s continued evolution and long-term strategy.
The February 2019 edition of WWIN was a success as it welcomed more than 700 first-time buyers. The show also offered 90 new exhibitors and saw the return of many of the industry’s best-selling brands. Buyers and exhibitors continue to return to WWIN because they consistently experience success and because the WWIN team creates an atmosphere that everyone loves.
