Susan Milano Appointed to Key Accounts Manager for WWIN

To further enhance ROI for exhibitors and the overall show experience for buyers of the Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN) show, Clarion UX has significantly expanded the show’s Key Buyer Program and tapped fashion industry veteran Susan Milano to lead it as Key Accounts Manager. She reports to Clarion UX Vice President of Fashion Events, Desiree Hanson. 

In her new role, Milano will forge strong relationships with WWIN’s target key buyer audience, including catalogs, boutiques, specialty chains/franchises, department stores and work closely with the show’s exhibitor base to identify potential new attendees, top retail accounts, buying groups and others to bring to the show. She will also oversee the expansion of the show’s newest initiatives: the Key Buyers Concierge Club and Match!, a customized meeting experience that brings exhibitors and top womenswear and fashion accessory buyers together in pre-arranged, confirmed appointments based on mutual interests.

Susan brings more than 30 years of fashion industry experience to the WWIN team. She comes to Clarion UX from Cachet Industries Inc where she was senior sales representative for its eveningwear division.  Prior to Cachet, she was senior sales representative for Faviana International.  She also served as director of sales for Alex Apparel Group for 15 years, overseeing annual sales of over $53 million for its women’s evening apparel label, Alex Evenings. 

Throughout her versatile fashion career, Susan has also held management roles with other companies, including Jump Apparel Group and retailers like Lane Bryant and Lord & Taylor.  Her career touched on the publishing side as well, serving as advertising director for two niche women’s fashion and beauty publications produced by LFP, Inc.

Introduced during the August 2018 edition and targeted for expansion for February 2019, the new Key Buyers Concierge Club offers a VIP experience to the show’s pre-selected Key Account members.   In addition to expedited registration service and a host of amenities, including VIP access to the show’s complimentary lunch service, reserved seating in the show’s dining salons and new fashion show event, club members also have access to a time-saving appointment setting system that allows them to request appointments with exhibitors based on matching product category/line interest.

Making its debut at the February 2019 show, the enhanced MATCH! Key Buyer program will be available to a select number of pre-selected key buyers and exhibitors. The curated buyer list will include boutiques, department stores, mail order/catalogs, mass merchants, specialty chains and online retailers with annual sales over $500K who are actively sourcing womenswear and fashion accessory resources in a range of price points and styles.  The MATCH! hosted buyer program will include hotel accommodations and airfare reimbursement packages along with additional at-show amenities. Appointments will be scheduled using an innovative matching software solution based upon mutual selling and sourcing needs.
