February 2020 WWIN Show Successfully Wraps Its Final Edition At Rio Hotel & Convention Center

Anticipates Its Expansion To The New CAESARS FORUM Conference Center In August 2020

Trumbull, CT (February 20, 2020) – The Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN) show successfully wrapped up its final run of a nearly 20-year-strong tradition at Rio Hotel and Convention Center on February 3-6, 2020. The trade show brought together thousands of retail attendees looking to source women's apparel from 400+ exhibitors showcasing 1500+ lines and brands. As a leader in the industry, WWIN offered attendees a truly unique experience through unparalleled hospitality, daily educational sessions, and appointment driven programs like Buyers Concierge Club and MATCH!, which carefully matches compatible buyers and exhibitors to drive meaningful relationships.

"We’re proud to be an organization that’s known for making business happen,” says Desiree Hanson, Senior Vice President of Fashion Events. “The continued success of relationship-building between buyers and exhibitors at WWIN is a testament to our mission. All of the different programs and events we offer, like MATCH! and extended show floor hours with a Wine Down reception, are designed for the benefit of our attendees. We’re here to equip them with the best tools to learn, network and grow their businesses. The success of this year’s show is just a small taste of WWIN’s legacy of excellence and dedication to what we do."

CONNECTIONS

WWIN offers two appointment-setting programs that connect decision-makers with the vendors who can meet their needs. MATCH!, now in its second edition at the show, carefully matches buyers and exhibitors based on target audience, product interests/offerings and price-point. Buyers with over $500k in annual sales who are actively sourcing new fashion resources are encouraged to apply. Matches and appointments are arranged by WWIN’s Key Account Manager, Susan Milano, prior to the show and facilitate partnership and ease of communication. The personalized aspect of the program helps buyers to narrow down suitable vendors while boosting the visibility and ROI of exhibitors.

The second program, the Buyers Concierge Club, is open to all attendees and exhibitors. This option provides a centralized platform where appointments between buyers and suppliers can be conveniently scheduled in just a few clicks.

Brenda Post of Curve Couture in Solana Beach, CA shared “I found new lines and wrote orders with brands I would not have seen otherwise. The best part of the week was the connections made with other buyers at the MATCH! cocktail reception. We shared our ideas, our secrets and our failures and we inspired each other to keep going and try new things. Priceless. Truly.”

Robert Daly, an exhibitor from RdShadez in Philadelphia, PA said, “MATCH! is the best thing since sliced bread. As a new vendor, I arrived at the show with 18 confirmed appointments. Sign me up for the August Show!”

ENHANCED SHOW FLOOR NAVIGATION AND HOSPITALITY

“While other events have scaled back or removed hospitality conveniences all together, WWIN continues these efforts, understanding the value that they bring to customers on the show floor,” states Hanson. Some of these hospitality efforts include daily complimentary breakfast and lunch, afternoon happy hours, the Pop, Fizz, Clink! Wine Down Reception, and extended show floor hours.

“We love coming to WWIN every year for the past 20 years because of both the incredible business opportunities and the wonderful amenities. We are so looking forward to the August show at CAESARS FORUM,” says Katie Kipperman of Kippys in San Diego, CA.

EDUCATION AND EVENTS

As always, WWIN is dedicated to informing and equipping business owners with new strategies, best practices, and changes in the industry. Experts from different areas shared actionable insights aimed at enhancing overall performance and profit in the midst of a changing world.

Retail consultants Penny Bolton and Rita Mitchell interviewed a panel of experienced retailers on how to manage clientele, drive traffic and create new revenue streams. Meanwhile, speaker Ulla Hald combined fashion and technology and shared tips for how to manage and streamline the ordering process while reducing risk.

Other popular and well-received sessions on sales, marketing, and social media strategy were led by Mercedes Gonzalez of Global Purchasing Companies, Ilse Metchek of California Fashion Association, and Ashley Alderson of The Boutique Hub.

“Every time we come, we know that we’ll leave having learned something new—after every workshop I take, I return with new ideas and resources.” said Rachel Greene of FAB - Fashion and Beyond in New York, NY.

BIG MOVES

The next edition of WWIN is scheduled for August 17-20, 2020 at the brand-new venue, CAESARS FORUM Conference Center and will welcome an expanded show floor, enhanced educational track, and continued hospitality.
