WOMENSWEAR IN NEVADA TRADE SHOW MOVING TO CAESARS FORUM IN AUGUST 2020
ADORN’ DEBUT, EXPANDED SELECTION, EDUCATIONAL AND HOSPITALITY OFFERINGS HEADLINE NEW HOME HIGHLIGHTS
LAS VEGAS (February 5, 2019) – Clarion announced today that its semi-annual Womenswear In Nevada (WWIN) trade show will move to the new CAESARS FORUM Conference Center in Las Vegas starting with the August 17-20, 2020 edition. Held at the Rio Convention Center for most of its 21-year history, the move to Las Vegas’ newest state-of-the-art venue represents the next step in WWIN’s continued evolution and long-term strategy.
The first edition in the new space will welcome an expanded show floor, enriched educational and hospitality offerings, and the debut of ADORN, a new show featuring a versatile selection of fashion accessories and jewelry.
“The incredible CAESARS FORUM venue opens up so many opportunities for WWIN,” explains Desiree Hanson, vice president of fashion events, Clarion. “In addition to much-needed space to enhance show offerings and convenient access to hotels and amenities, the stunning new venue provides the perfect backdrop for the innovations and enhancements we have planned for WWIN.”
As the newest addition to the Caesars Entertainment family, the 550,000-square-foot CAESARS FORUM conference center debuts at the center of the Las Vegas strip in 2020 with the two largest pillarless ballrooms in the world; flexible meeting space; direct access to 8,500 rooms at Harrah’s Las Vegas, The LINQ and Flamingo hotels; and the new FORUM Plaza multi-purpose outdoor space. Adjacent, The LINQ Promenade offers a wide variety of restaurants, shops and entertainment.
“Featuring the latest in technology and design, CAESARS FORUM definitely sets the stage for WWIN’s future,” adds Hanson. “The show’s loyal buyer and exhibitor base can be assured they will still find the hospitality, show features and product resources that have made it their favorite show, but we’re working to take the experience to a whole new level that promises to delight them and attract new audiences, as well.”
Topping the list of show enhancements already in development for the August 2020 edition include the debut of ADORN, a new fashion accessories and jewelry show within WWIN at CAESARS FORUM. Building upon WWIN’s reputation as a fabulous hunting ground for women’s accessories, ADORN will bring together best-selling and unique designs from leading brands, emerging artists and vendors from around the world.
The expanded exhibition space also makes room for a number of show floor enhancements that respond to today’s retail buying habits and industry trends. Among them, “price point neighborhoods” that match price point ranges and merchandise types. In addition to WWIN’s strong selection of American-made resources, attendees can also look for even more new show floor features and aisle focus areas in 2020, including sustainability, new/emerging designers and more.
Attendees can also expect to see enhancements and improvements to many of WWIN’s popular amenities and features buyers come to enjoy, including complimentary breakfast and lunch daily; educational WWIN Workshops; inspiring merchandise displays; the new WWIN Buyers Concierge Club match-making feature and customized meeting experience, MATCH!. The August 2020 edition at CAESARS FORUM will mark the 22nd anniversary for WWIN. Founded by Roland Timney and Jeff Yunis, Specialty Trade Shows, WWIN made its debut at the Tropicana Hotel in 1998. The duo moved the show to the Rio Hotel & Convention Center in 2000 where it quickly built a reputation for its strong womenswear selection and friendly, hospitable show atmosphere. Specialty Trade Shows sold WWIN to Urban Expositions (now Clarion) in 2015.
